Personally, I have lots of options. If my friend asked me, I would tell him/her my address, if a weirdo-like stranger asked me, I would get into a panic, punch them, and run away. But if i were to say my thought of what home was, I would say it is where your heart belongs.
I love the band Metallica. Don’t judge me. They have a great song called, Wherever I May Roam, and there’s this line: “Anywhere I may roam. Where I lay my head is home.” So long as you are with the people that matter most in your life (your family), you are home. Trust me.
Having lived in two cities for well over a decade, I can say home doesn’t feel like a physical location. It’s the feeling inside you when you are with the people you love and who love you.
I agree that home is where your heart belongs. But that gets us into a bigger question too – what makes you “you”? My guess on that is that it’s a combination of who you know and what you’ve done – and that means that as you meet more people, and go to more places, you will change, and your own definition of home will change too.

Home is where my heart belongs. What wisdom kiddo.
For me, it is where my family is. But perhaps that is the same thing.
Love you, mommy.

Home is definitely definitely where your friends and family are – everything else is just a hotel. 🙂
